Several WhatsApp features have been deployed since the beginning of the month and there is more to follow. WhatsApp has been seen working on a handful new features in recent weeks. Some of these features are currently under development, while others have been tested in the form of beta (which means that their deployment is not so far). More recently, WhatsApp has been stained in testing Instagram Roels integration on the platform. We have compiled a list of WhatsApp features that are in work and are likely to deploy in the coming months. The new WhatsApp features should improve the messaging experience and introduce new use cases for the application.

WhatsApp features should be launched in 2022

1. Hide your "Last Seen" of Specific Contacts

WhatsApp has always had a parameter that allows you to hide your last view of your contacts. It's a convenient feature for people who want to hide their availability from their WhatsApp contacts. A disadvantage of using this feature is that you are not also able to see the "last view" status of your contacts. This causes problems for users like me who only wish to hide their last status seen from specific people in my contacts but not all. Fortunately, the company tests a new feature that allows people to hide their "last view" status of only specific contacts.

Once the functionality goes live, you will be able to hide your "last view" status from specific contacts and be able to see the "last view" status of all other people from your contacts. The feature is already available in the beta version of the application and is expected to move in the upcoming weeks or months to all users.

2. No time limit to delete sent messages

Although WhatsApp allows users to delete sent messages, there is currently a time limit up to 4,096 seconds (68 minutes and 16 seconds) to delete a message after sending. But according to the tests on the beta version of the application, the company could consider deleting this limit once and for all. A time limit for executing the removal action has not been found during testing. This means that users will be able to delete their messages sent from any time in the past. That said, there is no clear calendar when this feature will be available, it will take some time before seeing this feature.

3. Multi-device support

The ability to use WhatsApp on multiple devices without relying on your smartphone connection has been one of the most requested features for WhatsApp. And this feature finally comes to all devices. After being spotted in several beta buildings, the functionality is officially deployed in Beta. Now, when you connect to a desktop client or web client on WhatsApp, you get an option to try this feature in beta.

I use this feature for a few weeks now and it works without any major problem. Depending on the beta, you can use this feature on a maximum of four devices right now. Many improvements are always needed before this feature is complete. First of all, the discussion always takes a lot of time to load on my desk. I also found that, currently, all my old discussions are not synchronized. But these are problems that WhatsApp can solve with future versions of the application.

4. A new functionality of the community

WhatsApp works on a new community functionality that could be deployed in the near future. The functionality is similar to groups of discord and channels. This is not the same as the functionality of the groups that already exist in WhatsApp. The functionality of the new communities will give more control of admins on the different aspects of the application. Administrators will be able to create multiple groups in a community, just as you can do in discord. Like other discussions, the cats community will be encrypted from end to end. We do not have more details on this feature right now, but see the amount of work needed to implement this feature, we are sure that this feature will be publicly deployed in 2022.

5. Logout WhatsApp

The WhatsApp disconnect will replace the "Delete Account" button and support the next multi-device feature. According to a Wabetainfo report, which retains a WhatsApp update track, the application will finally bring a disconnection option for its users. The option will allow users to disconnect WhatsApp accounts from their devices, as facebook and other social networking applications. The functionality has been recently marked on the new beta version of WhatsApp and headed soon at the iOS and Android versions of the application. The WhatsApp disconnect function is likely to allow people to apply to use their account on multiple devices at the same time.

6. Instagram coils on whatsapp

WhatsApp for a section of Instagram coils in the future. The feature will allow users to watch Instagram coils directly from the e-mail application. This could be part of whatsapp's integration plan with other applications belonging to Facebook. For those who do not know, Instagram real is the short video feature, which has been added to the image sharing application last year after the Government forbidden Tiktok.

7. Read later

"Read more" is said as an improved version of the existing archived cats function on whatsapp. When a cat is moved to read later, WhatsApp will not send notifications for this conversation. In addition, the feature will include a "holiday mode", which will ensure that cats "Read later" operate in the same way as the archived discussions on the current stable version. Read later, you will also find an edit button for users to customize the settings. WhatsApp users will also be able to select multiple discussions at a time to absorb them quickly.

8. WhatsApp insurance

You will soon be able to buy an insurance via whatsapp in India. The email platform belonging to Facebook is set to deploy health and micro-board insurance products on its email platform in India through links with approved financial services actors. Initially, WhatsApp will sell SBI GENERAL SACHET-HEALTH PENSION SCHEMES HEDFC via its platform.
