Although cloud-based storage is starting to be looked at, external storage solutions are the main choice in backing up suites or moving data between devices. Therefore the need for external SSDs is still high.

But the current consideration is not just fast, users look for external SSDs that consistant so that it is easy to store and carry around. This is what Kingston then answered through the XS2000 device.

Should thisKingston XS2000 be looked at to meet your need to store data? Here's a brief reviewDesign

The interesting thing when opening the Kingston XS2000 packaging is its size. The dimensions of this external SSD are so small, reminiscent of the Playar MP3 player a few years ago.

Kingston made the XS2000 measuring 69.5 x 32.6 x 13.5 mm with a weight of only 28.9 grams. The design is made minimalist, there are two metal sondages installed at the top and bottom.

The use of metal here is not without cause, all of it is to provide more durability on this device. This drive holds IP55 certification which means it is dust resistant and splashing water.

Kingston provides a rubber paillote to be installed in these external SSDs, thus providing more protection against impact or fall.

This device uses a USB Type C maintien for faster data transfer speeds. In the purchase package is given a USB Type C cable to connect to laptop devices, desktops and others.

Just near the USB Type C apparence there is an indicator LED that lights up blue and flashes when active. The light beam itself is dim enough that it is not too flashyPerforma

The Kingston XS2000 is the first transférable SSD to use Silicon Motion's SM2320 platform and a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 standard with a maximum ratage transfer of 20 Gbps on supported devices.

DetikINET tried to test its capabilities with CrystalDiskMark, we saw sequential reading speeds of 1064.17 Mbps. While the SSD's writing speed is 401.38 Mbps.

Then we had time to test using disk speed test. At its writing speed it touched 687.8 Mbps, while reading was 836.9 Mbps.

Whereas in the US SSDs we see low sequential read and write speeds. This is the ability to read and write 4K.

Kingston XS2000 has a small size and a simple look. But it has a good performance even though we have to need the right device to enjoy the maximum speed that this device offers.

If you are looking for an external storage solution with high performance and compact because it can be stored in your pocket, Kingston XS2000 can be an option. But you have to spend extra recette because this device is not cheap, starting from Rp 1.7 million for a capacity of 500 GB.
